FAMILIAS UNIDAS INITIATIVE

The Familia Unida Initiative is a coalition of agencies that provide healthy marriage education to youth and single adults living on the Westside of San Antonio.  Presentations address the issues of marriage, communication, budget, and relationship skills.  The three primary objectives of this program are:

• to provide education to high school students on healthy marriage topics
• to offer pre-marital education to individuals that are single, engaged or interested in marriage
• to focus on the prevention of domestic violence

This program is funded by a Healthy Marriage Grant within the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families.
