2025 Yanaguana Festival

This year, our beloved Yanaguana Fest finds a new home in the heart of San Antonio’s East Side at Essex Modern City, just minutes from our main campus. To us, this move is more than a change of venue — it is an intentional act of celebration and solidarity. The East Side is sacred ground: a neighborhood rich with history, resilience, and cultural vibrancy, worthy of protection, recognition, and joy.

Since its inception in 2018, Yanaguana Fest has been a free, family-friendly, and alcohol-free music and arts festival that centers the voices, stories, and creativity of Native and greater BIPOC communities. In a city often divided, Yanaguana Fest creates space for unity. It is a day where families gather in safety, children dance freely, and cultures converge to remind us that we are all relatives of this earth, all living on sacred land.

Through music, art, storytelling, cultural performances, vendors (many from our Economic Justice initiative), local food vendors, and nationally recognized Indigenous performers such as Supaman, Yanaguana Fest continues to uplift the beauty, creativity, and resilience of our people. The festival also provides direct access to resources, opportunities, and conversations that strengthen our communities.
